Talent & Learning Manager - Support Centre - Country Road Group

Purpose 

Reporting into the Head of Culture & Capability, you will be leading the end-to-end Talent strategy & management, performance management cycle and learning & development for support centre. In partnership with the Heads of People and People Business partners, you will be working with group functions and brands on career and performance management, succession planning, High Potential and talent identification and leadership and capability build (including design & facilitation) for our support centre team members.

Key Accountabilities 

Talent Management

  • Act as the custodian of the CRG talent strategy and process and upskill managers / teams / BPs on discussing & managing talent
  • Create and manage talent development initiatives, including potential assessment, succession planning and development plans in partnership with the Heads of People / Business Partners for the function/brand (end-to-end)
  • Support/co-facilitate talent forums
  • Compile talent data across all functions/brands to generate insights and opportunities across the group
  • Support and track High Potential development initiatives and support engagement and retention efforts through targeted development opportunities (70:20:10), including support with generating detailed development plans and follow-up
  • Provide and track talent data/analysis.

Career Management

  • Develop/support career planning pathways for specific role/functions within the business (e.g. design, merchandising) including activities to move along the career pathway, launch campaigns
  • Upskill managers on career conversations and create/provide appropriate resources.

Performance Management

  • Support functions and brands throughout the performance management cycle, working closely with BPs/HO on goal setting, mid- and end-year activities
  • Upskill as required.

Learning & Development

  • Identify and assess development needs through various methods, including stakeholder interviews, data from talent forums, business strategy, industry trends and performance data analysis (annual cycle and ad-hoc)
  • Design and execute learning and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance; with a view to build future capabilities with the 70:20:10 framework in mind (diverse learning methods)
  • In partnership with Talent & Learning Manager – Stores, design, deliver and evaluate innovative learning and development programs & initiatives to delivery strategy.  Regularly update programs based on business requirements, researching and utilising best practice/future trends to keep programs effective (with 70:20:10 framework in mind)
  • Facilitate core programs (Ignite/Inspire/VBL), offerings from the annual training calendar and bespoke workshops/solutions as needed
  • Own the content and program delivery of the VBL suite (Insights). Continuously review program and explore further utilisation of Insights in other areas in accordance to strategy, feedback and industry trends
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external training vendors and consultants.

Onboarding

  • Facilitate/support the quarterly F2F Support Centre onboarding program
  • Support and coach HOPs/BPs and managers on onboarding process
  • Regularly review and build on the Support Centre onboarding program and delivery
  • Work on design and delivery of new manager program.

Key Capabilities 

  • Formal qualification in Organisational Development, Human Resources or related fields OR equivalent professional knowledge and experience
  • Certification in Insights and coaching practices (desirable)
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (desirable)
  • Experience in project management and budgeting
  • Knowledge of performance management cycle, practices and systems
  • Experience with design, development and roll-out of career pathways/competency frameworks
  • Track record in delivering successful Organisational Development projects and supporting major organisational change
  • Knowledge of theory and good practice in Leadership Development, Adult Learning, and Learning Management Systems Experience in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms (desirable)
  • Experience with facilitating the end-to-end talent management process, including practical application of potential assessment frameworks (learning agility) and succession planning
  • 5+ years’ experience in a business partnering role (general HR/wider OD)
  • Experience with design and facilitation of training and workshops
  • Retail experience (desirable).
