The Commercial Finance Analyst role has 3 primary functions.  Business Partnering the Marketing teams of each of the 5 brands; supporting the Head of Commercial Finance to Business Partner the Country Road Brand and owning the consolidation of the forecasts & budgets of the 5 Brands. The role will require delivery of accurate and insightful reporting, analysis, and commentary on brand performance, profitability, expenses, and key financial metrics. The role involves providing detailed insights into brand vertical P&L, including monthly reporting and variance analysis against budget and forecast. A key focus of the role is working collaboratively with the Commercial Finance teams to enhance and streamline financial reporting processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency.

Key Accountabilities 

• Lead Finance Business Partnering of the 5 CRG Brand Marketing teams
• Challenge stakeholders on validity of Financial forecasts & Budgets
• Ensure accuracy of the Country Road Brand forecasts and act with ownership of the process end-to-end
• Provide insights to the monthly management reporting, including Brand profit & loss packs and cost centre reporting.
• Financial analysis including commentaries on key driver variances and impacts on the business.
• Collaborate with Brand Commercial Finance teams to develop uniform forecasting processes, templates and reporting.
• Reconciliations between accounting ledger and trackers for key expense lines (mainly Marketing).
• Liaising and meeting with business on any business-related queries, including ad hoc, month end, coding, and HO employment.

Key Capabilities 

• Experience in a finance analyst role ideally within retail
• Solid accounting knowledge and understanding of financial principles.
• Experience in Business Partnering internal stakeholders to address financial queries and support business decisions.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and preparing financial submissions.
• Experience working with financial systems, preferably TM1/EPM or equivalent reporting/ forecasting tool.
